About The Position

Work Shift: Third Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Objective: Ties in beams on looms, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards. Essential Job Functions: Commitment to Safety Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety. Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process. Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Safely tie in beams on looms operating a knot tying machine or manually. Perform general preventative maintenance on knot tying equipment. Obtain basic certification on weaving function. Ability to draw-in broken ends from tying process/ assist weavers when needed. Maintain quality standards and clean work area. Accurately complete necessary paperwork. Follow standard operating procedures. Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry. Ability to work well with others in a team environment Excellent attendance required Full time presence required Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends. Additional tasks as assigned Job Qualifications: Ability to be certified to complete lockout/tagout operations and complete Hazardous communications training. Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below. Proficiency in reading dials and instruments. Ability to accurately complete basic paperwork and data entry. Requires good eyesight, ability to see fine detail. Ability to wear hearing protection. Good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination. One to three months of experience operating basic machinery. High School diploma or GED required. Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation. Previous textile experience is a plus. Requirements
