Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation (CFI), also known as The Lighthouse, represents the intersection of LM’s commitment to national defense and passion for innovation. It serves as the center for defense tech, multidomain integration, experimentation, wargaming, tabletop exercises, modeling and simulation, and decision analysis in both real and synthetic environments. It brings engineers and operators together to create innovation, and partners with government and industry teams to tackle complex problems and develop new concepts and capabilities. The CFI is seeking an experienced Wargame Planner-Analyst. This role sits within a team of experienced operations project managers, wargame designers, and wargame analysts and reports directly to the CFI’s Senior Manager for Operations & Wargaming. What You Will Be Doing: In this role, you will support and drive the quality of analysis-supported interactions between Lockheed Martin business areas (BAs) and their customers, ensuring successful outcomes that substantively support and inform the BA Long Range Plans, shape customer perspectives, and build enduring partnerships and business outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not be limited to) the following: Serving as a principal point of contact and liaison with the LM BAs, Corporate Engineering and Technology (E&T), and government partners on wargames, table-top exercises, workshops and studies Designing events ranging from conferences, to table-top exercises, to digital wargames incorporating modeling and simulation with internal, external, and globally distributed functions Participating in the design and development of these types of events through application of a deliberate planning and system integration process Managing a portfolio of concurrent projects that involve modelling & simulation applications, analysis and experimentation capabilities; monitoring and reporting on design/development planning Providing subject matter expert insights during peer review and consultation sessions associated with projects assigned to other CFI teams Participating in strategic, operational, and tactical level planning and management studies, assessments, and BA outreach Developing professional presentations, worksheets, and documents utilizing Microsoft Office 365 Suite of tools for executive leadership and customers Who You Are: This position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to identify, examine, and shape opportunities around customer needs. The work will be in a fast-paced environment and will require the individual to think in multi-dimensional space, multi-task and pay attention to details, delivering excellence in execution on all assignments. You must be able to work independently under general direction on complex problems involving all phases of event planning and execution. You must also possess strong interpersonal and communications skills and demeanor to represent Lockheed Martin and the CFI to customers, teammates, executive management, and staff. Further Information About This Opportunity: This is a hybrid role, requiring the majority of work to be completed onsite. Occasional travel may be required (~10%). Active Secret Clearance (with eligibility for Top Secret clearance) is required to start.
