About The Position

This position will perform a variety of warehouse duties under general supervision including pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping, and material handling. Uses ERP system and operates hand and power equipment for material handling to move product throughout facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming products and materials, including filing certificates of conformance, and then properly store materials and stock production lines. Prepares and expedite shipments, warehouse or direct, including banding/ shrink wrapping, creating bills of lading, preparing and affixing shipping labels if required, entry of shipping data into applicable computer system. Inventory maintenance responsibility up to/including system updates of incoming parts, cycle counting and reporting, Kan Ban set-up and maintenance, back-flushing inventory or updating records upon shipping. Attention to detail – ensures accuracy in shipping/receiving documentation, ensure materials are delivered to correct areas, ensure entries to systems or other inventory functions are updated correctly, understands the correlation between inventory entry and financial impact, discovers or anticipates issues and communicates appropriately. Communicates effectively/ utilizes teamwork with appropriate cross-functional personnel, including management, accounting, purchasing, assembly, engineering, customer service, service, warehouse, etc. Communicate with outside vendors in person, over the phone or via email for purposes related to shipping/receiving, including scheduling and problem/issue resolution. Audit incoming materials as required for correct piece counts per requirements, inspect materials if applicable, involve engineering when necessary. File and maintain all required documents, understand document retention requirements and disposition. Unpacks, examines and routes RMA’s, rejects damaged items, documents. Processes all defective parts or equipment for replacement or credit Adherence to safety standards including, but not limited to, forklift inspection/maintenance, work-area housekeeping, and safe loading/unloading of semi- trailers and storage racks Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school education required
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adjust workflow based on business needs
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of parts/application for use
  • Basic math/measuring skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout workday
  • Maintains clean work area and assists with cardboard recycling
