About The Position

JOB PURPOSE: Load finished goods for transportation to clients’ specifications. Unload inbound materials. Track products and raw ingredients using computerized inventory system. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Safely operate forklift (must obtain Alphia certification) with accuracy and efficiency. Inspect finished product for stack quality, count accuracy lot code accuracy, and defects before loading. Load trucks with finished product according to customer requirements and document the process. The documentation may include photos, notes, and other required forms. Make pick lists and Bill of Ladings. Conduct cycle counts. Operate semi tractor-trailer to move trailers on company premises (CDL preferred, but not required). Move trailers and yard truck, as necessary. Operate trash compactor. Responsible for knowing where to get information regarding product ticketing and customer palletization requirements and how to interpret that information. Able to use computerized inventory system and hand-held scanners to run location, stock status, periodic inventory, and shipment summary reports, and create pick lists. Pick and ship material both LTL and truckload. Cycle counts finished goods after each run. Assist Receiving & Inventory personnel Maintain assigned equipment and cleanliness of all areas. Use GMP’s to maintain plant standards and SOPs for all products. Required to notify a supervisor or a lead employee of any situation or observation that may adversely affect food safety and/or quality. Other duties as assigned or directed. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired. Basic computer skills required. Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form. Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner. Basic math skills to include addition and subtraction.
