Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Required

  • 1 year or more in In driving various PIT equipment, Required
  • User level knowledge of Windows and MS Office Intermediate, Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chai, Preferred
  • 3 years or more in relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field, Preferred
  • 1 year or more in Training / Leadership background, Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on the job training and powere industrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including cross trainng as needed.
  • Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions.
  • Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables.
  • Coordinate with Group Manager Logistics for appropriate staffing levels
  • Direct staff in the development, analysis and performance of job task.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff and provide employee orientation.
  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees.
  • Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process.
  • Responsible to coordinate safety activities for the site by working with Safety Manager to ensure safety training is current including OSHA and forklift training.
  • Evaluate department processes.
  • Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
