About The Position

The Warehouse Supply & Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing supply chain and inventory operations within the hospital. This role supports the Supply Chain Service teams by performing essential supply management and physical inventory tasks. The position ensures efficient and effective departmental operations to meet the supply needs of all hospital departments and programs. The role also involves guiding daily activities, coordinating tasks, and serving as a point of support and direction for team members to ensure workflow consistency and high performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certification in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s insurance program.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, materials management, or supply chain environment preferred. Familiarity with supply stock rotation, expiration tracking, and use of SDS/MSDS documentation is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to use supply management and budgeting software to track and report data.
  • Practices safe working habits, follows all safety precautions, and uses protective clothing or gear (e.g., masks, gowns, gloves, goggles, safety shoes) as required.
  • Demonstrates reliability and accountability through consistent attendance and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude, delivering excellent customer service to coworkers, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and promote WCHS’s core mission, vision, and values across all operations.
  • Uphold and model the department’s mission in daily responsibilities and team interactions.
  • Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for daily supply chain operations; collaborate closely with staff to prioritize and delegate tasks as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Organize and execute the pickup and delivery of USPS mail and other courier services, including to and from offsite locations.
  • Oversee the receiving process for freight and packages, ensuring proper logging, documentation, and timely delivery to appropriate departments or programs.
  • Manage order fulfillment and distribution for all departments, including coordinating logistics for offsite deliveries.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in shipments, including incorrect quantities, substitutions, duplications, or pricing issues; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Ensure all incoming packages are logged accurately and delivered promptly, with appropriate proof of delivery obtained.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock status in the warehouse, anticipating departmental needs and preventing shortages.
  • Communicate with vendors to request price quotes and product availability for procurement purposes.
  • Prepare purchase orders based on approved quotes and coordinate follow-up with vendors regarding shipping timelines.
  • Oversee the receiving and proper storage of supplies and equipment, ensuring accurate documentation in inventory systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Meditech inventory software; provide guidance and informal training to team members as needed.
  • Lead and participate in regular supply and physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Operate utility carts, two-wheel carts, and pallet jacks safely and effectively to handle heavy or bulky items.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline warehouse operations and implement approved changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Track and meet established performance metrics and goals as outlined by WCHS management.
  • Ensure timely completion of all mandatory trainings assigned by WCHS management.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required as facility and job duties demand.
  • Other duties as assigned.
