  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is a plus. Relevant experiences that replace that are also welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans for inbound receiving and outbound shipping to ensure safe delivery of goods to and from stockroom, proper identification of goods and timely release of materials to production.
  • Establish and monitor operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Process, package and ship and receive orders, as well as manage the flow of work through the area.
  • Oversee receiving, fulfillment and shipping of materials, products, merchandise, and parts in warehouse. Identify and implement proper storage methods and identification. Optimize warehouse footprint and storage utilization. Take responsibility for daily cycle counts, maintaining high inventory accuracy, and managing material obsolescence in order to avoid material shortages to production, as well as backordered shipments to customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement within material control to maintain and improve current processes, improve material presentation to production and optimize internal material flow, including through different stages and work centers, and external suppliers and services.
  • Successfully define and execute on workflows, jobs and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.
  • Create, sustain and audit standard work.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures in own area of responsibility.
  • Develop and observe key performance indicators to identify trends, needs and changes to provide status and recommendations to management.
