JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating the daily warehouse functions of receiving medications, supplies and medical equipment in a cost-effective and timely manner. Follow State BOP regulations and company policies for handling, storage and disposal of medications and waste. Ensures medications are packaged to meet appropriate shipping and temperature storage conditions. Works under the direct supervision of the Center Manager/Director of Operations and performs clerical, equipment and delivery activities as required. Assist the pharmacy department and local office staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Good written and oral communication skills (multi-lingual desired).
  • Possess basic computer skills including MS Office, Windows, Outlook, and internet.
  • General level of interpersonal skills to interact effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
  • General knowledge of modem office procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment.
  • Demonstrates moderate level ability to multi-task as well as problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain performance levels that support the mission and philosophy of the company of providing exceptional patient care services and satisfaction.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Working well with others with a team f~ approach.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing and organizing tasks.
  • Ability to efficiently use email, internet and various software products to complete tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician license in good standing required.
  • At least one-year previous warehouse coordination experience required.

  • Previous home care, home infusion or related healthcare experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all incoming and outgoing deliveries for accuracy.
  • Coordinates the daily receiving of medications. supplies and equipment from distributors and suppliers.
  • Checks all medication and supply packages for damage, tampering, and expiration dates.
  • Ensures the proper handling, rotation and storage of all medications and supplies in warehouse.
  • Assigns and/or adjusts product locations and documenting them in CPR+.
  • Stock replenishment of quantities and lots through company purchase orders (PO). Process P.O. with matching packing slips per local office procedure.
  • Handles sharps, bio-hazardous, cytotoxic, hazardous materials and pharmaceutical waste in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors min/max shelf quantities and documents on ordering log.
  • Restock picking locations daily from over stock areas.
  • Assembles shipping supplies.
  • Performs medical equipment cleaning and testing as required.
  • Data entry management of new, current or returned serialized equipment.
  • Contacts patients as needed to coordinate pick up of equipment.
  • Ensures completion of daily route sheets.
  • Enters shipping data into common carriers' computer systems and tracks shipments as needed.
  • Performs monthly generator and fire extinguisher checks.
  • Assists manager with performing quarterly building checks not limited to but including first aid kit, eye wash stations, lighting, disaster kit etc.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly cycle counts with pharmacy department.
  • Follows all safety regulations and legal documentation pertaining to warehousing.
  • Works with Patient Service Representatives to schedule pickup of infusion pumps from active and inactive patients.
  • Monitors pumps while they are rented out to patients for annual maintenance.
  • Inputs newly rented infusion pumps into CPR+ and sends returned pumps back to our rental companies.
  • Assists management with ordering functions using CPR+.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
