About The Position
Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to use your management expertise to take your career to the next level as you lead warehouse operations for our dynamic manufacturing environment. You will pave the way for our dedicated team on the back shift, ensuring the seamless execution of receiving, storage, and shipping functions to support our plant's production operations and other vital functions. Your leadership will foster a safe, efficient, and cost-effective work environment that meets all factory and company standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, military, or related environment
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime
Responsibilities
- Train and guide your team, assign tasks, and ensure they have the tools and resources needed for success.
- Maintain training records, manage schedules, and ensure accurate documentation of warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with production team leaders, transportation staff, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Set goals for your team, monitor performance, and seek opportunities for operational enhancements.
- Utilize and develop proficiency in warehouse management systems and other software tools to optimize operations.
