About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials and components to support production schedules while maintaining safety, accuracy, and inventory integrity.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to interpret production schedules and coordinate material movement accordingly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Fast-paced industrial warehouse setting.
  • Regular standing, walking, and lifting; may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Flexible schedule may be required, including evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or a high-volume production environment preferred.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT), and continuous improvement principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving personnel.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available to meet production requirements.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, cycle counts, and material tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, and logistics teams to support operational goals.
  • Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members; address performance issues and resolve workplace concerns.
  • Analyze warehouse metrics (inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee proper storage, labeling, and handling of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
