About The Position

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff
  • Administers and exercises policies and procedures
  • Ensures employees operate within guidelines
  • Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
  • Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
  • Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution

Responsibilities

  • Must observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed.
  • Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
  • Understand and comply with all current plant policies and procedures.
  • Supervise shipping and receiving activities - assigning manpower and equipment as necessary, making physical audits of work being performed and monitored or exceeding productivity standards. Ensuring customer shipments are expedited accurately and timely.
  • Supervise Production Support Activities - Supervise the efficient put-away of all products associated with production support activities and communicate/resolve all issues as necessary with the plant.
  • Supervise Receiving Activities - Supervise the efficient and accurate unloading, checking, and put-away of all contract-manufactured, and raw material items as necessary.
  • Supervise Replenishment Activities - Supervising the efficient and accurate replenishment of stock from the reserve locations to the Primary Pick locations.
  • Complete and manage all assigned projects and training as assigned by management
