About The Position

Warehouse Supervisor Position Summary: Alamon, Inc., a Montana-based employee-owned company since 1975, provides installation services to the utilities, energy, and communications industries nationwide. There is no ceiling when it comes to your professional growth at Alamon, an employee – owned company. Alamon, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for its Network Services department. The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates the daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse. Reviews shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products. Develops work schedules and assigns work to subordinates. Individuals with solid telecommunications expertise and experience are encouraged to apply. Supervisory Responsibilities: Schedules, hires, trains, and oversees warehouse staff. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Requirements

  • Must pass the pre-employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
  • Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all-weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 50lbs., and hiking over various terrain.
  • Possess a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
  • Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
  • Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
  • Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
  • Ensure that all stock is stored in the correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery promptly and according to schedule.
  • Schedules for materials being transferred to and from the warehouse, and coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
  • Monitors expenditures
  • Implements corrective actions if needed.
  • Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Resolves routine equipment issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
