About The Position

The role of the Warehouse Supervisor-Inbound is to facilitate the receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping processes in the distribution environment. This position will coordinate one of these areas to ensure high levels of customer service, efficiency, and safety. This position supports specific warehousing and distribution areas to achieve site objectives through strategic management of personnel and process improvement. 2nd shift Wednesday-Saturday nights (Inbound) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Associates Degree or 2 years’ experience as a team lead or supervisor in warehousing and/or distribution environment
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Clear understanding of warehouse distribution environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic math skills
• Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment, delegate work and escalate issues as needed.
• Punctuality to all scheduled shifts: timely, reliable, and regular attendance is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to stand /walk for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach above and below shoulders. Repetitive use of hands.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and handling various materials frequently during a shift.
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels.
• Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of products.
• Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing orders; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of RF scanners; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Responsibilities

• Working within a team environment to ensure the achievement of company goals, including productivity, accuracy, timeliness, and cost- effectiveness.
• Direct responsibility regarding inbound, outbound, or inventory management operations, including general warehouse activities.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements including service level agreements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.
• Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
• Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
• Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Prepare daily reports including analysis of production and shipping.
