About The Position

As a Warehouse Specialist at our Marion, South Carolina Manufacturing and Distribution Center, you’ll become a key player in our warehouse operations, think of yourself as both an operational expert and a proactive contributor who ensures seamless support for production teams and internal customers. This role is designed for a driven professional ready to excel in warehouse management while positioning for future growth into leadership positions, such as Warehouse Manager or supervisory roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
  • Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks; forklift certification strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate computer and database skills, including ERP system familiarity and basic report preparation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear business correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities with a proactive mindset for managing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a clear interest in leadership, team coordination, and process improvement.
  • Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and push constantly; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of inventory management principles (e.g., stock rotation, material requirements planning/MRP) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations, company health, safety, and security policies to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Unload, verify, and receive freight/materials against packing slips; enter receipts accurately into the ERP system; and store items efficiently in the warehouse or satellite locations.
  • Pick and prepare materials/orders for internal production customers, update picking slips, and promote raw materials daily (including quality testing as needed) to support uninterrupted production.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts for ERP accuracy, support stock rotation (FIFO principles), and palletize/package materials for safe, compliant internal delivery.
  • Deliver materials/freight to internal customers, coordinate small parcel pickups, and assist in adjusting schedules to meet dynamic business demands.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, material flow, space utilization, and overall operations—sharing insights directly with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and email) with production teams, internal customers, vendors, and colleagues; assist in training new team members as needed.
  • Prepare hazmat shipments when required and perform basic maintenance checks on lifting equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) to ensure safety and readiness.
