About The Position

Monitors the smooth flow of shipping. Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct. Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Food Safety Modernization Act- FSMA, Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance) Delivering on Glanbia’s Values: “Showing Respect” - Research issues & incidents with internal teams, business partners and customers in a collaborative manner that includes professional, honest and transparent communication. “Find a Better Way” - Work with internal and external teams to implement process improvements and/or procedural changes that eliminate non-value added activities and drive more business value. “Winning Together” - Assist with training of new team members. Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Possess general understanding of export requirements and policies.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Possess good understanding of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Loss Control, and Safety policies/practices. Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Desire to grow with the company.
  • Ability to calculate correct percentages of product types to be used in product blends, based on existing recipes/formulas.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Involves moderate physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
  • Should be able to judge distances and spatial relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all paperwork necessary for required reports, auditing, accounting, customer, and legal requirements.
  • Perform all warehouse/shipping related functions in SAP.
  • Allocates loads for cheese and whey production.
  • Works with Lab staff to ensure all products are being released for allocation.
  • Works with sales to ensure all loads are allocated at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Responsible for accuracy of shipping products and paperwork to customers.
  • Receive and direct incoming calls.
  • Inspect incoming trucks
  • Keep records in accordance with good manufacturing practices and local and state
  • Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
