About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Lead supports the Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing daily warehouse activities within a regulated cannabis manufacturing environment. This role serves as a working lead on the floor, guiding Technicians and Coordinators to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant movement of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. The incumbent plays a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, safety standards, and regulatory compliance, while supporting training, task coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates strong, hands-on knowledge of receiving, staging, picking, and shipping processes, ensuring efficient and accurate material flow.
  • Maintains precise inventory records and material movements across METRC, Acumatica, and related systems; identifies and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Consistently applies cannabis regulatory requirements, internal controls, and SOPs, with a clear understanding of traceability, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Leads by example on the warehouse floor; provides guidance, direction, and informal coaching to Technicians and Coordinators while reinforcing expectations.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors to ensure alignment, task clarity, and smooth shift execution.
  • Demonstrates high accuracy in documentation, inventory handling, and task execution, recognizing the operational and regulatory impact of errors.
  • Identifies workflow, inventory, safety, or compliance issues and takes appropriate action or escalates concerns in a timely manner.
  • Promotes a safe, organized, and compliant work environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining warehouse standards.
  • Effectively manages shifting priorities and production demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment, remains flexible to shifting priorities, and contributes positively to team success and special projects.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and work effectively across various sectors of the department as needed or requested by a direct supervisor. This includes the capacity to support other departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and responsiveness to organizational needs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience, including lead-level or informal supervisory responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of METRC and ERP systems (Acumatica preferred).

  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and supports daily warehouse floor operations, including receiving, staging, picking, kitting, and shipping activities.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for Warehouse Technicians and Coordinators during assigned shifts.
  • Verifies accuracy of inventory movements, transfers, and documentation in Acumatica, METRC, and related systems.
  • Assists the Supervisor with task delegation, workflow prioritization, and shift coordination to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  • Supports onboarding and on-the-job training for new and existing team members, reinforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participates in cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy investigations as required.
  • Ensures compliance with cannabis regulatory requirements, internal controls, and GMP-aligned practices.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Identifies process gaps and provide feedback to the Supervisor regarding team performance, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Escalates issues related to inventory accuracy, safety, or compliance promptly and appropriately.
  • Executes ad hoc projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
