About The Position

Join a great team in a great location in our newly air-conditioned plant in Cheektowaga, NY. We are in need of a Warehouse Associate on 3rd Shift. The Warehouse Associate handles the shipping and receiving in our warehouse. This is a temp to hire role . Rate: $17.50 / hour plus $1.50 / hour for 3 rd shift differential. Hours: Sunday through Thursday: 11PM to 7AM Training: Must be willing to train on 1st shift for 2 weeks from 7AM to 3PM Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 1-year warehouse experience is required.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • Computer skills are required for data entry.
  • High level of physical activity, including standing for long periods of time, lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal personnel and external carriers.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or fellow employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Work in a manufacturing setting utilizing computers, dollies, forklifts, hand-held measuring devices or scanners, hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials on racks or shelves according to a predetermined sequence.
  • Fill orders for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute inbound materials.
  • Wrap pallets to be shipped out.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound freight.
  • Sweep up warehouse and dock areas, organize work areas, and keep supplies stocked.
  • Maintain work area per food safety requirements.
  • Other projects as assigned.
