Position Summary Assist supervisor and oversee warehouse workers. Load and or unload trucks. Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods. Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists supervisor in the management of warehouse/location operational responsibilities Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local state and federal requirements Lead the warehouse team Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules Work as a warehouse team member and perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals Accurately complete all necessary paperwork Manage day to day inventory levels Maintain forklift certification Use JDE to research materials, open orders and locations in warehouse Trains, supports, guides Warehouse workers May be responsible for management and timely execution of daily receiving and dock schedules. Oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated to the process May be required to hold daily team meetings with teams to communicate any safety topics as well as any updates relevant to the area Stacks and arranges product on pallets Completes forklift and palletjack inspections before each shift Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily Moves product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory Rotates product and arranges according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out) Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming product, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; reports any discrepancies to the supervisor Assists in planning layout of location/warehouse/storage area Operates electric forklifts and palletjacks Works in and out of freezers, temperatures average 32 degrees to -25 degrees General support of production Required to wear hairnet, smock (freezer suits are optional), steel toed boots, overshoes, ear plugs, and gloves provided by the Company Flexible to overtime Employee Safety Responsibilities: Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay Use proper lifting techniques Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift) Use personal assistance (buddy) Use handrails Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.
