This individual is a generalist that can perform all the duties of physically receiving, picking, packing, kiting, shipping and cycle-counting. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for completion of all customers orders filled including; filling customer orders and delivering them to a delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards. Warehouse Lead position is cross functional and can fill in for the Warehouse Manager in their absence. Safe operation of all equipment is the top priority of this position.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Receiving: upload incoming deliveries and complete a visual inspection for damage. Verify counts and items are correct and match up with the packing slips. Receive product into internal system
  • Operate a forklift to pull and store bins in a neat and orderly manner
  • Order picking: locate product in warehouse using picket ticket. Check product and verify quantity
  • Packing Orders: ensure items picked are correct and package to customer's requirements. Label as required by customer
  • Shipping: package shipments per customer's request. Coordinate with shipping companies to meet customer's request. Set up delivery schedule for in house deliveries
  • Quality Control: ensure all orders are correct to customer's sizes and specifications (measure if required) check fit-form-function. Check that orders are accurate and free of any defects
  • Package and weigh any orders to customer's requirements.
  • On a daily basis, inspect and do routine maintenance on equipment
  • Maintains 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principals within all work areas. Ensures cardboard is properly recycled and trash is placed in dumpsters
  • Reads, orders and makes a list to pull and put away bins in a fast but safe speed
  • Uses the monthly check list to ensure forklift is in proper working condition
  • Conduct physical inventories as needed
  • Performs other plant operational activities as necessary
