About The Position

Job Objective The Warehouse Apprentice, Warehouse Equipment Operator must be willing and able to train on industrial warehouse equipment. This position offers a clear path for growth once fully trained and certified as an Equipment Operator. The Equipment Operator uses various equipment including a Reach Truck, Order Picker, Stand-up Forklift, and/or Walkie Rider to perform an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse to meet company standards. Base rate increases to $23.00 per hour once fully trained. Steady Schedule + Seasonal Overtime to Keep Our Customers Smiling: Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment highly preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management and RF scanners.
  • Understand numbers and letters on an RF scanner's screen.

Responsibilities

  • Train and obtain certification on Reach Truck, Order Picker, Stand-up Forklift, and/or Walkie Rider.
  • Physically load and unload product off/on trucks.
  • Accurately pick items according to order slips or by using RF scanning equipment.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and meet quality standards.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and order.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect items and report discrepancies to management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as standup forklifts, powered riding pallet jacks, and reach trucks,
  • Comply with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations regarding warehouse operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve overall warehouse objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to ensure a seamless workflow.
