About The Position

We are hiring a Dock Equipment & High-Speed Door Apprentice to join our commercial service team. This is a hands-on skilled trades position working on real job sites alongside experienced technicians. No prior experience is required; we will train you, teach you the skills, and provide the tools you need to succeed.
If you enjoy working with your hands, learning mechanical skills, and being active on the job, this could be the right fit.
This role provides on-the-job training and exposure to a wide range of mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Interest in learning a skilled trade
• Mechanically inclined or enjoys hands-on work
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Comfortable with physical work and jobsite environments
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all seasons

Nice To Haves

• Construction, mechanical, maintenance, or trade school experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced technicians on commercial job sites
• Learn the ins and outs of loading dock equipment and high-speed doors
• Assist with installation, service, and repair work
• Use hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment daily
• Help prepare job sites, move materials, and maintain a clean work area
• Follow safety procedures and jobsite best practices
• Learn troubleshooting and installation techniques over time
• Learn welding techniques through hands-on, real-world job site experience
