About The Position

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking an Expeditor to join our team in Columbia, MD! In this role, you will be responsible for pulling parts for sales orders, coordinating inventory management and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. You will work closely with technicians, product managers and the Material Control team to keep operations running smoothly. If you have experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving and inventory management, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pull parts for sales orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with minor assembly tasks as needed to support shipping operations.
  • Report inventory shortages to management and coordinate with Product Management to resolve Bill of Material errors.
  • Work closely with the SIT Administrator to ensure timely updates and order changes.
  • Support the Quality Assurance team with processing orders for used, returned, and demo equipment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
