Job Description PURPOSE OF THE JOB Control, interface and manage Warehouse Automation Systems, keeping the overall system at peak operational levels. To support continuous material movement through PBV’s automated warehouse systems to support both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to pass fork lift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling equipment.
  • Six (6) months of “sit down” fork lift operation experience preferred.
  • Must have one (1) year of automation/production machine operation outside of PBV warehouse automation or a minimum of three (3) months of proven in-house operation (not including training).
  • Computer/human machine interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical stamina.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Math, reading and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

  • Complete machine/system interface and operation.
  • “System Operator” level machine/system fault identification, troubleshooting, issue correction, and cleaning and maintenance.
  • Resolution of data/transactional errors or issues related to automation systems, software, or programs.
  • Record keeping/operator log as required.
  • Direct people/work areas as needed to maximize system efficiency and/or facilitate issue resolution.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
