About The Position

Our southeast division specializes in hydraulic solutions for the aerospace, machine tool, forestry and marine industries. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and storage of all parts and materials sold and inventoried by the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in lieu of education will be accepted.
  • Ability to read and work with intricate part numbers and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to be a team player and help out in multiple areas of the warehouse.
  • Good physical skills on equipment and an aptitude for manual work.
  • Able to sit, bend, stand, and walk 8 – 10 hours per day.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of warehousing and distribution experience
  • UPS World Ship and FEDEX manifesting experience
  • Wireless Warehouse environment
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Warehousing training in a distribution, manufacturing, or dealership environment
  • Knowledgeable on shipping methods and procedures
  • Basic PC skills

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship orders.
  • Receive Stock Orders.
  • Coordinate efforts with Warehouse management to dispose properly of scrapped parts & maintain documentation.
  • Participate in physical counts of parts and materials on an annual or as directed basis.
  • Assist in determining causes of short- or over-item situations.
  • Operate within all parts policies and procedures of GCC.
  • Operate safely and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program, to conform to ISO 9001 requirements and understand the implications of not conforming with the Quality Management System.
  • Other duties as assigned.
