Lactalis USA is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate (Transport Operator) based in Brattleboro. This role involves supplying all departments with ingredients and packaging material, and moving finished goods to the distribution center using a standup forklift. Warehouse Forklift Operators will also load and unload trailers, and may be required to pick up, move, and/or manipulate products by hand. Strong written and verbal skills are essential, with primary duties including transportation of goods between secondary storage facilities to the main plant.

Requirements

  • Current / Valid Drivers License
  • Knowledge of computer fundamentals and strong math skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 6 months to a 1-year experience driving a box truck preferred
  • 6 months to a 1-year experience driving a standup forklift
  • Previous experience in a dairy processing or food manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with RAF and SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prior experience operating a stand up fork lift, pallet jack, and truck in fast-paced environment.
  • Assign by the supervisor to pull orders of packaging, raw material and ingredients, as per production schedule and place same in the relevant demarcated areas.
  • Assign by the supervisor to pull orders of finished goods as per load out sheets and load on trailer in sequential order as per load sheet.
  • Reviews available products by code date both visibly and on inventory sheet to assure proper rotation of product.
  • Ensure all products for production is assembled in staging area, to ensure proper code dates and rotation.
  • Physically checks all products in staging areas for proper codes, labels, short fills, missing cartons, leakers.
  • Makes necessary adjustments to loads as required.
  • Able to transport and put away pallets.
  • Perform any other tasks, as assigned.
  • Must work in cold storage warehouse.
