About The Position

The warehouse associate will load and unload delivery vehicles, both outgoing and incoming. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, transport it to, and store it in designated warehouse positions. Please keep your work environment clean and tidy, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. To ensure success, you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a refrigerated warehouse.
  • Ability to operate a forklift proficiently.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Good moral character.
  • Environmental - Willingness to work in a cold climate of 35º.
  • Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
  • Available to work extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack safely as required.
  • Available to work a night shift from Sunday to Friday, with one weekday designated as a day off, start time 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Accepting delivery of inventory.
  • Counting and confirming inventory.
  • Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
  • Communicating errors with relevant parties.
  • Marking and labeling stock.
  • Storing inventory in an accessible manner.
  • Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
  • Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
