About The Position

This position is working onsite in Greencastle, PA Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Assist the Warehouse Operations Manager in supervising daily operations. Help develop and maintain operational guidelines for the team. Evaluate current operational processes and recommend improvements. General operational reporting for management as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Course(s) of Study: Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field of study
  • Experience: 3 -5 years
  • Type of Experience: Requires 3 years of experience in Warehouse or related field.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and proficiency with warehouse management systems required.
  • Must have good interpersonal and relationship management skills. This position will require communication to management, customers, suppliers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
  • Needs ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks.
  • Effectively able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Must have deductive reasoning and the ability to investigate and determine root cause.
  • Must be able to train team member.
  • Team member must be able to twist, bend, pull, push, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May work in excess of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, as required to perform essential functions.
  • Team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, use fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Team member will present a neat, clean appearance of self, and use professional business etiquette and language.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment; including telephone, copy/fax machine, personal computer, have reasonable accuracy and speed on ten key skills and/or keyboarding.
  • Employee will work in a warehouse environment. These locations may be loud, dirty, dusty and greasy within OSHA regulations. Will often work around moving machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership on building and maintaining a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, appraising, rewarding, developing and succession planning. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Operational liason for all systems controls for Ruan and the customer. The Warehouse Management System will be the main source of data control for the operation and the Assistant Operations Manager needs to be an expert with its execution in all areas of the operation.
  • Communicate with both the warehouse team and the customer to provide daily information in regards to the inventory management. Manage customer relations addressing inquires and handling complaints, and gathering feedback to improve services. Customer Interaction, includes - daily, weekly and monthly meetings are also commonplace and need to be appropriately prepared for.
  • Monitor receiving schedule by shift and work with the customer for any day to day concerns that may come up.
  • Monitor and track all pick data to analyze performance and make recommendations to shift supervisors.
  • Assist with managing quality assurance tasks and provide results internally, and to the customer. Recommend additions, changes, deletions to improve operations. Analysis all key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with the operations manager on continuous improvement processes. Track completion and follow up to measure effectives.
  • Help develop, manage and implement training plans for equipment and process related task in the warehouse management system.
  • Storage location & product slotting maintenance. Provide data to the customer on product management.
  • Assist in interviewing, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure documentation is accurately accounted for per Ruan and Customer policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
