The Warehouse Lead supports the day-to-day operations of the branch providing order and delivery services according to the mission and culture of JHL while meeting the goals and objectives set forth by the management team. The Warehouse Lead is a position of leadership in the warehouse. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations, while leading and developing the warehouse team. Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED
1 year working in a warehouse environment as a team member, working with power equipment such as forklifts, and pulling orders.
A solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes
Takes initiative while displaying leadership qualities
Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with team members
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team
Ability to work safely and accurately
Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) and reading skills
Detail oriented, organized, consistent, and tenacious
Organized with strong time management skills
Valid US Driver’s license and/or reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

2+ years in a warehouse setting, working with power equipment, an RF Scanner, a forklift, wire cutting, and pulling orders preferred
1-2 years of leadership experience in a warehouse setting preferred

Responsibilities

Pick, fill, and pack orders on a timely basis to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries – including picking pipe and wire cutting when applicable.
Lead daily operations to efficiently managing the flow of goods from receipt to dispatch to ensure inventory is properly handled, stored, and distributed.
Lead team of warehouse associates by providing work direction, feedback, training and development.
Ensure the team is adhering to performance expectations and addressing performance needs.
Safely utilize power equipment when necessary to fulfill orders and restock warehouse shelves.
Streamline warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce costs
Keep the warehouse clean, organized and ensure safety practices are followed, and a positive safety culture is promoted
Communicate with other departments and branches regarding order status or inventory issues.
Work in a team environment to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse
