About The Position

Atelier Maison & Co. is the region's elevated furniture studio, offering heirloom quality, healthy non-toxic furnishings nationwide, with locations in Asheville and Cashiers, NC. The responsibility of this position is executing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person’s competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehousing and logistics, preferably in the home furnishings or related design industry preferred.
  • Strong passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings if needed. (not common)

  • must be able to lift 50 pounds, on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to see the computer screen, clearly see materials and details of work, and read Shipping/receiving delivery tickets and checklists.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates’s Degree from a two-year trade school, college or university is a plus.
  • Minimum two to four years work experience in the warehouse and logistics field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers and clients by understanding needs and seeking to address those in an efficient and effective manner
  • Work with Buyers and Merchandisers to set up vignettes and displays (Asheville & Cashiers)
  • Responsible for making sure all orders are accurately pulled and staged for delivery.
  • Support the scheduling and arranging deliveries, investigating complaints, and participate in delivery and installation of furniture in customers’ homes (may involve driving of box truck).
  • Support accurate product inventory counts and locations for the Atelier Maison locations.
  • Support accurate product inventory counts and locations for the ID.ology Cabinetry inventory at The Collaborative.
  • Unpack and validate accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with inventory control, resolving discrepancies, and participating in periodic inventories
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure correct orders, pulling orders, and monitoring order accuracy
  • Support the maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the showroom and warehouse areas at The Collaborative.
  • Support the maintenance and projects, delivery, staging and stocking, contact with store manager and merchandise team for the Cashiers showroom.
  • Support truck maintenance and help keep registrations and maintenance up-to-date (inspections-state & federal, oil changes, tires, etc.)
  • Responsible for completion and accuracy of truck mileage logs
  • Working with the manager to develop and modify warehousing SOPs
  • Preparing and checking reports, schedules, invoices, and other required documentation
  • Responsible to complete requested paperwork and forms to support the Buying and Merchandising team.
  • Other tasks as directed
  • Participating in social media posts for events or products in the showroom
  • Attend speaking sessions or presentations internally and externally
  • Support the coordination of events
