Wafer Photo Process Engineering Internship - Summer 2026
About The Position
Seagate's Wafer Operations Photolithography Process Engineering organization is seeking an Engineering Intern to conduct trials and participate in continuous improvement projects during summer 2026. This position will be located in Seagate's Bloomington, MN facility. Develop technical understanding of one or more Photolithography process tools used in the wafer manufacturing process, as well as the process responses Perform process trials, working in a cleanroom environment to complete product trials and process improvements for Seagate's recording head products Utilize software tools as needed for data analysis and presentation to complete projects and assist Photo engineers.
Requirements
- Interest in nano-fabrication processes/operations
- Statistics and Data Analysis experience using MatLab, R, Excel, JMP or Python.
- Strong Communication skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Material Science and enrolled in Fall 2026 classes.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical understanding of one or more Photolithography process tools used in the wafer manufacturing process, as well as the process responses
- Perform process trials, working in a cleanroom environment to complete product trials and process improvements for Seagate's recording head products
- Utilize software tools as needed for data analysis and presentation to complete projects and assist Photo engineers.
