We believe you should enjoy and grow during your internship experience. This position is located in Jacksonville. The intern must have capability to travel minimally to VyStar’s branch locations. (9-week internship program begins the first week of June and ends the first week of August.) VyStar’s paid internship experience will work with the DevOps Engineering and Infrastructure Automation team within the Information Technology department. All employees and business units, as first line of defense, are expected to proactively help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within their domain of work. To enhance a healthy risk culture and support our growth for good pillar, employees will maintain vigilance in safeguarding our operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates. The Risk team serves as the second line of defense by providing risk oversight and credible challenge whereas the Audit team serves as the third line of defense by providing risk assurance.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • Rising College Juniors, Seniors or Graduate Students
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office Tools
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Participation in college organizations and the community

Responsibilities

  • Learn the principles of automation and configuration management.
  • Gain an understanding of continuous integration and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expand knowledge of best practices for using version control systems including branching and merging strategies to manage code changes effectively across different workflows.
  • Gain experience with Azure Boards and collaboration using agile methodologies.
  • Learn to write an Ansible playbook for automation.
  • Build a pipeline in Azure ADP to setup continuous integration capabilities.
  • Get hands-on experience solving business needs
