Team Overview: Impinj is seeking a DevOps Engineering Intern specializing in developing a DevOps software release pipeline to join our PTE team. This role will work closely with key mentors on the team. In this position, you will focus on creating an automated process that helps manage how software is built, tested, and deployed.

Requirements

  • Current BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of relevant coursework experience
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or automation concepts
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms or container technologies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating a simple DevOps pipeline to support software development activities
  • Help automate steps in the development process, such as building, testing, and deploying software
  • Work with version control systems to manage and track code changes
  • Learn and use DevOps tools and platforms under guidance from the team
  • Document the solution in a clear and easy-to-understand format
  • Present the completed pipeline and explain how it works
