About The Position

Jackson Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Service Advisor for their reputable automotive dealership. This role requires excellent skills, a friendly demeanor, and strong organizational abilities. The Service Advisor will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle service needs, preparing repair orders, coordinating with auto mechanics, estimating costs, verifying insurance, writing repair reports, conducting inspections and test drives, educating customers on preventative maintenance, recommending additional repairs, maintaining customer records, and performing follow-up contacts.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Prior experience working as an automotive service advisor
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
Comfortable with using computer software and systems
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen

Responsibilities

Greet customers and listen to their description of the problems or service needed for their vehicles
Determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders
Coordinate with auto mechanics and schedule mechanical work orders
Estimate costs, verify insurance, and write repair reports
Conduct inspections and test drive cars
Educate customers on preventative maintenance and recommend additional repairs if needed
Maintain customer records and make follow-up contact
Perform other duties as assigned
