About The Position
Jackson Automotive Group is expanding and seeking an experienced Service Advisor for their reputable automotive dealership. The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills, a friendly demeanor, and strong organizational abilities to join their growing team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior experience working as an automotive service advisor
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Comfortable with using computer software and systems
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and listen to their description of the problems or service needed for their vehicles
- Determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders
- Coordinate with auto mechanics and schedule mechanical work orders
- Estimate costs, verify insurance, and write repair reports
- Conduct inspections and test drive cars
- Educate customers on preventative maintenance and recommend additional repairs if needed
- Maintain customer records and make follow-up contact
- Perform other duties as assigned
