About The Position

SS&C Technologies is the world’s largest independent hedge fund and private equity administrator, as well as the largest mutual fund transfer agency. The Vice President – Unique Assets Manager is a key executive leadership role responsible for overseeing the administration and strategic management of complex and non-traditional assets held in trust. These assets include real estate, oil & gas interests, loans, promissory notes, and closely held businesses. The VP will lead a high-performing team, ensure fiduciary and regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional client service while driving operational excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex operations.
  • 10+ years of experience in real estate and/or oil & gas asset management, ideally within a trust or fiduciary environment.
  • Strong understanding of trust administration, fiduciary responsibilities, and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a client-first mindset and a commitment to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Asset Management & Oversight Lead the administration and strategic management of real estate, oil & gas holdings, loans, notes and closely held businesses held in trust, including day-to-day management, valuation, leasing, maintenance, accounting activities to disposition.
  • Ensure compliance with fiduciary standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day management, valuation, maintenance, leasing, accounting to disposition strategies for all unique assets.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Leadership & Team Development Manage and mentor a diverse team of asset managers, analysts, operations and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Drive associate development through coaching, training, and career pathing.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Client Engagement & Retention Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
  • Partner with relationship managers to deliver tailored solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Resolve complex client issues with professionalism and strategic insight.
  • Risk Management & Compliance Identify and mitigate operational, legal, and reputational risks associated with unique asset holdings.
  • Ensure audit readiness and support internal/external reviews.
  • Maintain robust documentation and controls to safeguard client and company interests.
