About The Position

The VP of RCM Business Support will report to the SVP of Revenue Cycle and will accelerate performance transformation across UF Health’s revenue cycle, aligning process improvement and cost optimization efforts with the organization’s financial, operational, and patient-care priorities. Uses data-driven insight to drive standardization and innovation, serving as an internal consultant with broad authority for redesign projects, policy development, and strategic execution. Provide leadership over RCM education, process improvement, facility and payer relationships, vendor management, credentialing, and RCM analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Business Administration with a Healthcare or Finance concentration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in healthcare administration, revenue cycle, and process improvement
  • Knowledge of Healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee an enterprise education strategy for RCM, ensuring all providers and staff are informed of compliance, billing, and revenue cycle best practices
  • Build and lead a high-performing enterprise education team to support ongoing learning and professional development across the organization.
  • Partner with compliance, finance, and operational leaders to align education programs with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary executive liaison with payers, addressing operational issues, contract requirements, and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership to ensure alignment of revenue cycle strategies and operational priorities.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize payer performance, reduce denials, and improve reimbursement outcomes.
  • Develop enterprise-level dashboards, reporting tools, and predictive models to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with IT, clinical, and operational teams to implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging tools to maintain a competitive and compliant RCM function.
  • Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives, integrating Lean Six Sigma, project management, and change management disciplines
  • Collaborate with finance, clinical, and IT leadership to identify, scope, and prioritize opportunities for workflow optimization and cost reduction
  • Serve as a champion for technology adoption and automation projects—evaluating vendors, guiding implementations, and ensuring user buy-in
  • Foster a culture of high performance and accountability, coaching leaders on problem solving and team development
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across all revenue cycle operations
  • Build and oversee all provider and facility credentialing functions (inclusive of provider verification, hospital privileging, and enrollment)
