About The Position

This role will provide enterprise-wide leadership over all front-end revenue cycle functions, including scheduling, registration, financial navigation, insurance verification, cost estimates, pre-authorization and standardization of front desk processes. Accountable for designing and executing patient access strategies that enhance the patient experience, ensure data integrity, and optimize revenue capture. Partners with clinical, operational, and technology leaders to create an efficient, patient-centered access environment and proactively address process gaps, compliance requirements, and evolving patient needs to drive performance, innovation, and enterprise standardization.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration with a Healthcare or Finance concentration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management and/or patient access
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in healthcare administration, revenue cycle, and patient flow
  • Knowledge of Healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for streamlined patient scheduling, registration, and front-end financial clearance, driving consistency across all UF Health site
  • Set and communicate performance standards for patient access, including targets for service quality, registration accuracy, wait time, and insurance verification
  • Lead integration of digital and self-service tools to enhance access, patient engagement, and transparency
  • Oversee pre-authorization workflows and payer coordination to minimize delays and denial risk
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, and clinical operations to resolve access-related issues and coordinate end-to-end patient experiences
  • Act as executive sponsor for access improvement initiatives, technology deployments, and regulatory/ compliance adherence
  • Analyze patient access data regularly; identify process bottlenecks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Mentor and develop patient access leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-accountability culture
  • Guide optimization of the EHR and supporting platforms
