About The Position

Serves as the primary leader linking clinical operations with revenue outcomes, ensuring the integrity and compliance of clinical documentation, coding, charge capture, and audit processes. Partners with clinical, compliance, IT, and financial leaders to optimize revenue integrity and maximize appropriate reimbursement while prioritizing patient safety and regulatory adherence.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration with a Healthcare or Finance concentration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management and/or CDI
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in healthcare administration, revenue cycle, and patient flow
  • Knowledge of Healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, payer rules, billing. Compliance, coding standards, and reimbursement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical documentation improvement (CDI), coding accuracy, and charge capture processes
  • Develop strategies for effective clinician engagement in documentation and charge entry, reducing missed charges and coding errors
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams to institute rigorous internal reviews and compliance audits aligned with payer policies and CMS guidelines
  • Guide teams in adapting to regulatory changes, payer edits, and emerging industry trends in documentation and coding
  • Use data analytics to identify revenue leakage, denial trends, and case mix shifts, driving targeted interventions
  • Champion technology adoption (EHR, coding, charge capture tools) to improve efficiency and reduce manual error
  • Mentor and develop specialized teams (CDI, coding, audit), ensuring high skill levels and engagement
  • Develop clinical appeal strategy to maximize reimbursement
