About The Position

The Vice President of Spec & National Accounts is an exciting, remote, executive-level leadership role responsible for accelerating growth across strategic verticals in the lighting industry through high-impact engagement with specifiers, architects, engineers, ESCOs, and national accounts. The role offers the opportunity to drive influential sales relationships and oversee a dynamic team of directors, steering comprehensive go-to-market strategies, mentoring talent, and ensuring strong operational execution with measurable results. Strategic Leadership & Execution The candidate will lead the development and implementation of vertical-specific sales strategies, positioning the company as a preferred partner in specification sales, and integrating ESCO, National Account, and Specifier approaches for sustainable market growth. Sales & Team Development The VP will recruit and coach high-performing sales professionals, set SMART goals, drive accountability, and enhance team effectiveness through regular meetings and CRM-driven performance tracking. Operational & Cross-Functional Management Collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance ensures streamlined budgeting, margin analysis, and process improvements, maximizing performance and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven sales leadership record (10+ years, 5+ in specification markets)
  • Strong CRM/data expertise
  • Cross-functional teamwork
  • Strategic vision
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Regular travel (40–50%) is expected for customer engagement and industry events
