About The Position

SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider supplying OEM’s with printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies, is looking for a VP of Program Management to oversee the Engineering, Customer Service, and Supply Chain departments to smoothly see orders through from inception to start of production. Position Summary: The VP of Program Management provides the formal interface between the project’s performance and Program Plans and the Executive Team. Most importantly, the VP of Program Management provides essential aspects of the Executive Team: not just managing projects and programs but also developing process maturity and organizational integrity. The ideal candidate will possess experience in electronic components, manufacturing, purchasing, and sales. The candidate will also work with managers, supervisors, and customers to implement quality measures, be responsible for designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes/products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Business Management.
  • At least 5+ years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Access, Excel, and Queries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Organizational skills
  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods
  • Have good hand dexterity and the ability to reach with hands/arms.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, talk, and hear.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to ten pounds.
  • Noise level in the workplace environment is usually low to moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all new products are developed using the Quality System.
  • Assist in ensuring all new products meet customer specifications.
  • Assist in ensuring all new products are developed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance to ensure that customer requirements are clearly defined and addressed accurately, as well as sufficiently by a corresponding set of functional requirements.
  • Present to the Management Team on necessary key metrics.
  • Understand and clearly communicate corporate goals and objectives to all program management teams.
  • Construct and maintain personnel development plans and training for Program Management Department.
  • Provide guidance to Program Management teams.
  • Review existing procedures and incorporate new methods and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee communication with customers and suppliers via email, phone, or in person.
  • Lead in-house production-related meetings.
  • Attend off-site supplier audits as needed.
