About The Position

The Vice President of Wealth Management will lead and oversee the Credit Union's wealth management division, driving strategic growth and delivering exceptional financial advisory services to Credit Union members. The VP will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate wealth management solutions that align with clients' financial goals and the institution's objectives. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and developing a team of wealth management professionals to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the VP will be responsible for expanding the program's market presence and maintaining its reputation as a trusted advisor in wealth management services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in wealth management or private banking, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio management, and financial planning principles.
  • Proven track record of managing high-net-worth client relationships and delivering financial advisory services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the wealth management industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst).
  • Experience working within a branch environment.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and team leadership within wealth management.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial technology platforms and CRM systems used in wealth management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for Wealth Management that aligns with Gulf Winds’ mission and growth goals. Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and services to expand member value and assets under management while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective member segmentation, targeted relationship strategies, and tailored financial solutions. Set measurable goals for AUM, client acquisition, and retention, and ensure consistent progress toward achieving them.
  • Oversee delivery of comprehensive financial planning, investment, and trust services. Ensure an exceptional member experience through personalized advice, proactive communication, and a strong fiduciary focus that builds lasting member trust.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Wealth Management team. Foster collaboration, accountability, and professional growth through ongoing training, mentorship, and performance management that supports both individual and organizational success.
  • Ensure all wealth management operations meet regulatory, ethical, and policy standards. Partner with Compliance and Legal to maintain risk controls, monitor audits, and uphold a culture of transparency and accountability.
