About The Position

The Vice President of Operations provides strategic leadership to The Arc of Opportunity and partners with the agency leadership on a broad array of issues. The portfolio includes leadership of agency-wide functions including Information Technologies and Facility and Fleet management. This role supports the agency's mission, fundamental values, and Strategic Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, supervision, and teamwork
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable CORI/Fingerprinting/Driving Record results
  • Proven superior communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Information Technology certification preferred
  • Licensed Construction Supervisor preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops and directs the management of the Information Technology and Facilities/Fleet functions to ensure that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance and utilization.
  • Participates as a member of the Executive Team to formulate and implement policies and plans to meet the organizations short and long term objectives.
  • Brings operational efficiencies to the agency through the integration and management of Information Technologies.
  • Implements and maintains the agency’s technology infrastructure to support efficient data management and communication.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to direct reports including IT Specialist and Maintenance Supervisor, training, coordinating, supervising, and managing the activities of staff to accomplish goals.
  • Addresses areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Develops capital assets to mitigate risks.
  • Participates in vendor negotiations to ensure relevance and cost-efficiency.
  • Sets goals to meet and exceed IT demands.
  • Directs projects (e.g. site repairs/construction, preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget.
  • As a part of new building design, investigates and recommends optimal smart home technologies.
  • Develops long and short range maintenance plans for Information Technology and Facilities and Fleet.
  • Manages departmental budgets to support company objectives.
  • Responsible for the integrity and upgrading of building security systems.
  • Executes all phases of new home development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
