About The Position

The Vice President of Market Strategy & Growth is responsible for designing and operationalizing market-level growth strategies that drive sustainable same-store growth, new patient acquisition, service line expansion, and market positioning across the organization’s footprint. This role serves as the strategic integrator between operations, marketing, and business development, ensuring that each market has a clear growth plan, aligned priorities, measurable goals, and disciplined execution. The VP will oversee the Marketing function, guide market-level strategic planning, and enable the Business Development team with strategy, data and messaging to accelerate performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic rigor and operational follow-through in a complex, payer-driven healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in market strategy, growth strategy, healthcare strategy, marketing leadership, or business development, with at least3-5years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing market-level growth strategies in a multi-site, multi-market organization; healthcare services experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth, service line expansion, and market development initiatives tied to measurable revenue and volume outcomes.
  • Strong capability translating enterprise growth goals into clear, executable market strategies with defined owners, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Ability to monitor performance against growth plans and identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for course correction.
  • Track record of delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to Operations and Business Development leadership.
  • Proven ability to serve as a strategic partner to Business Development, ensuring efforts are targeted, prioritized, and market-aligned.
  • Experience clarifying market priorities and target referral segments to guide Business Development focus.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated success aligning Operations and Business Development around shared market growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of standardized market-level strategic growth plans in partnership with cross functional teams including regional and clinic operations leadership, business development and marketing team members.
  • Establish and maintain a standardized market planning framework that includes: Market opportunity and competitive assessments Referral and payer landscape analysis Growth priorities (organic, do novo, service line expansions, partnerships) Volume, revenue, and mix targets
  • Translate enterprise growth goals into clear, executable market-level strategies with defined owners, timelines and KPI’s.
  • Facilitate market strategy reviews, ensuring alignment between growth plans and operational realities.
  • Monitor performance against growth plans and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for course correction.
  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to Ops and BD leadership.
  • Provide senior leadership and direction for the Marketing department, including brand, digital, content, events, and campaign execution.
  • Ensure marketing strategy is tightly aligned to market-specific growth priorities, service lines, and referral strategies.
  • Oversee development of market-specific marketing plans.
  • Translate market growth plans into marketing priorities, campaigns, and messaging.
  • Establish marketing performance metrics and dashboards for marketing effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance and brand consistency across all markets.
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure all marketing efforts meet regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Lead development of strong messaging and representation of BHC.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Business Development team, ensuring BD efforts are targeted, prioritized, and market-aligned.
  • Support BD by Business Development team by: Clarifying market priorities and target referral segments Aligning messaging and value propositions by market and service line Providing market intelligence and competitive insights
  • Support development of BD tools and enablement materials, including playbooks, presentations, and market briefs.
  • Ensure BD activity is anchored to approved market growth strategies.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
