About The Position

As the Vice President, Energy Strategy - GRC you will play a critical role in in our sustainability communications and reporting. This role will help ensure internal compliance as well as benchmark QTS against competitors un the utility innovation space.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate future opportunities and challenges and commitment to achieving measurable results.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ten or more years in a communications role for accounting or legal departments.
  • Experience with government emissions auditing.
  • Focus on Energy, Carbon, Water ESG reporting and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Management and analysis of firm’s ESG data across funds and Business Units.
  • Responsible for oversight and reporting of ESG related disclosures where applicable; annual ESG report, TCFD report, and 10-K/10 report.
  • Work across Corporate Affairs and Finance to create and implement disclosure controls and procedures.
  • Ensure data sources used in reporting ESG disclosures are strategic and tactical and develop business requirements.
  • Subject matter expert on ESG disclosures, keeping current on evolving disclosure trends in the industry, connecting with peer company network and advising and evaluating impact of emerging regulation.
  • Ensure that ESG disclosure requirements are properly vetted and implemented in a well-controlled process from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Review all public and internal ESG disclosures to ensure and information materially accurate and produced in a well-controlled process.
  • Coordinating internal audits or other external reviews of the information within Blackstone’s ESG disclosures.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with Business Units on ESG disclosures and any related implications.
  • Review and reporting on customer and peer ESG data.
