Asure’s HCM offering includes Payroll & Tax, HR, and Time & Attendance software and HR Services ranging from online compliance tools to a fully outsourced HR department. The Vice President of HR Compliance and Learning & Development is responsible for the strategic direction, operational execution, and regulatory oversight of the company’s HR compliance programs and client-facing learning solutions. This role ensures that the company's HCM/HRIS offerings support regulatory requirements across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, and that the learning and development offerings meet client needs for workforce compliance and professional growth. The VP will lead teams responsible for compliance advisory services, regulatory monitoring, training content development, and learning platform delivery, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, or workforce training, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. employment law, HR compliance frameworks, and L&D methodologies
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing regulatory initiatives in a complex, multistate or national environment
  • Proven ability to translate legal requirements into business processes and scalable system capabilities
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning content creation, and adult learning principles
  • Excellent communication, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience in a SaaS, HCM/HRIS, or technology-enabled service delivery environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable compliance frameworks that support client adherence to employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices across jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of HR compliance content integrated into the company’s HCM/HRIS platforms.
  • Lead a team responsible for researching, interpreting, and advising on changes in employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, ACA, state-specific regulations).
  • Ensure that all compliance and training content meets legal standards, industry best practices, and internal quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Product, Legal, Client Success, and Implementation teams to ensure that compliance requirements are correctly reflected in platform features and client services.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to legal content, certification bodies, or third-party training platforms.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory risk exposure and internal compliance program performance.
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on HR compliance and corporate training strategies in the context of HR technology.
