Summary The VP of Business Development is a working, revenue-owning leader responsible for personally generating and closing new business while building the business development organization that will scale the company’s growth. This role combines direct selling with team leadership: owning deals end-to-end, establishing repeatable go-to-market motions, and hiring and coaching a high-performing team. This is not a purely strategic or managerial position. This role requires a leader skilled in Healthcare SaaS go-to-market strategy, partner ecosystem development, and ambulatory, hospital and health system relationship management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Healthcare Tech and SaaS business development, partnerships, or GTM leadership.
  • Demonstrated success closing complex SaaS deals and building partner ecosystems (Top 1% talent)
  • Data driven - Strong understanding of Funnel metrics and SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, pipeline velocity)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Personally source, run, and close deals by owning outbound prospecting, enterprise sales cycles, and contract execution.
  • Develop and execute the business development strategy to accelerate ARR growth.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, enterprise opportunities, and strategic partnerships (technology integrations, channel partners, etc.).
  • Build and manage a high-performing BD team with clear KPIs and pipeline goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Client Services and Marketing to align on GTM, product-market fit, and partner enablement.
  • Lead deal negotiations, contract structuring, and partner onboarding.
  • Represent the company at industry events and with key external stakeholders.
