About The Position

We are looking for a high-performing VP of Business Development to drive the growth of our banking, treasury, and embedded finance solutions across large enterprise clients. This individual will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, understanding complex client needs, and positioning Priority’s Unified Commerce solutions as a strategic fit. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in corporate banking and treasury, a consultative sales approach, and a strong track record of engaging large organizations at the senior level. This role will be responsible for national coverage with concentration in San Francisco, Georgia, and New York.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel 20% - 30% nationally
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or professional certifications a plus).
  • 15+  years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in commercial banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong business development abilities, including setting priorities, planning, organization, follow-through, delegation and negotiation skills; and the ability to build, manage and track open pipeline opportunities quantified by key performance indicators measured by the business (i.e., topline revenue, net profit, annual recurring revenue, etc.). 
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a complex, consultative sales environment.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise banking, treasury management systems (TMS), payments, and risk/compliance considerations.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies that align with the business’ overall objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales pipeline management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to the C-suite (i.e., CEO, CFO, CTO) and/or the decision makers of Mid to Enterprise Corporations, Financial Institutions and FinTech companies. 
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, real-time payments, API integrations, and embedded finance.
  • Relevant accredited professional certifications (i.e., Certified Treasury Professional, Accredited ACH Professional).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales & Account Managers with closing new business opportunities for  large corporate/enterprise clients requiring sophisticated banking, treasury, and platform solutions.
  • Support Sales & Account Managers with conducting high-impact client meetings, needs assessments, and solution presentations as an industry expert that demonstrate a deep understanding of client challenges and industry expertise in overcoming said obstacles .
  • Lead and drive related revenue generation initiatives including client targeting, market research, and responses to RFPs.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of enterprise prospects, ensuring consistent activity and accurate forecasting.
  • Work with Sales & Account Management Teams to drive the implementation of key initiatives that help identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities across Priority’s Unified Commerce solutions.
  • Assist  in the development and implementation of strategies and activities to expand existing client relationships to generate new business.
  • Establish, grow, and maintain strong peer/executive networks within Banking, Treasury, & Platform services’ target markets (i.e., Mid to Enterprise Corporations, Financial Institutions, and FinTech).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking solutions, including treasury management, cash forecasting, payment rails, liquidity solutions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay informed on competitive offerings, market trends, and shifts in the financial services landscape.
  • Create consistency in messaging and best practices throughout the line of business and Priority via ongoing internal staff development and training.
  • Work across teams and departments to elevate marketing and communication by streamlining relevant business development/industry knowledge for use in internal and external client materials.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to inform solution development and market positioning.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor through consultative selling and market insight.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
