About The Position

OneMain Financial (OMF) is seeking a VP/Director of Analytics for Personal Loans Affiliate Marketing, one of the largest and most complex channels for our business. We are seeking an analytical leader who can span across strategic problem-solving and detail-oriented tactical execution to drive transformative growth in affiliates marketing. The ideal candidate has hunger and an ownership mindset, outstanding independent thinking, rigorous framework-driven business judgment and problem-solving, strong executive communications and influence skills, and a proven ability to develop talent. IN THIS ROLE: Strategic Leadership Strategy-first mindset to identify leverage points across affiliates, anticipate market shifts and sustainably position OneMain’s competitiveness. Demonstrate outstanding program management skills across multiple workstreams to drive initiatives to market with speed and rigor. Business Outcome-obsessed, not just activity completion. Communicate analytical insights, performance narratives, and strategic opportunities and plans, tailored to audiences up to C-level leadership. Build consultative partnerships with affiliate marketing partners and influence product roadmaps and strong layered relationships with OMF. Support partnership business development strategies to size, vet and expand into new affiliate channels and/or third-party partnerships. Analytical Performance Optimization Orchestrate rigorous monitoring cadences with the right frequency, KPIs and actionable insights to ensure nimble response but avoid over- or under-reaction. Develop tools and methodologies for rapid diagnosis / root cause analysis when monitoring reveals performance headwinds or tailwinds. Understand and contextualize demand and seasonality trends to better inform forecasting, monitoring, and marketing response. Mature our data, analytical and operational infrastructure to create a nimble and adaptive marketing engine for OMF. Gain a deep understanding of our end-to-end loan origination process (from marketing through funding) to understand full-funnel efficiency and fallout. Drive robust testing agenda around marketing leverage points (targeting, affiliate compensation, loan structure, and end-to-end customer buying experience). Craft playbook or toolkit to optimize for different objective functions (e.g. what levers drive loan growth vs NPV vs efficiency vs different product or credit mix). Continuously interrogate incentive alignment between OMF and the ML models of each affiliate partner, and the first and second-order implications thereof. Team Development & Cross-Functional Influence Lead directly (analysts) and cross-functionally (partner analysts, marketers, data scientists, and operations experts) with clarity of purpose and with heart. Coach and develop analytical talent with empathy and a teaching mindset while maintaining a high bar for performance. Foster structured thinking, disciplined prioritization, error-free work, and collaborative culture of high impact results and great work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, or Computer Science (advanced degree desired)
  • 10+ years of experience driving analytical decisions; Master’s or PHD degrees may offset experience
  • 5+ years of analytics leadership experience, building and prioritizing teams and objectives based on company strategy
  • Deep knowledge of analytical tools and techniques to drive business outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skillset using tools such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Experience leveraging data visualization and digital marketing tools such as Power BI
  • Innovative and capable of developing a structured and highly analytical approach to solving problems; strong data and insights intuition, intellectual curiosity
  • Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting to and getting buy-in on strategy from senior executives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in performance marketing and acquisitions strategies is preferred
  • Lending or consumer finance industry experience preferred
