About The Position

The VP, Data Analytics position is responsible for a full range of activities, which ensure the operational effectiveness, and accuracy of data provided to the Bank. The position will provide data management expertise and assist with the data structure. This individual will also assist in building a long-term strategy of data to be used within the Bank. This position will also work with business partners, data consumers and IT to build and maintain a data and reporting framework that will support the changing needs of the organization. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in accounting, banking, commercial lending or data management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, i.e. finance, accounting, data management or business administration.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Visio and Excel) and Data Management practices and Data Query writing (SQL).
  • Highly Proficient in data architecture and data structures.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in both a team and individual environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in rapidly changing environment.
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism in working with others.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with business intelligence software (i.e. Business Objects, Tableau or Birst).
  • Proficient in Visual Basic (Macros, Complex Modeling).
  • Extensive knowledge in credit, deposit and portfolio management processes and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on designing, developing, analyzing and distributing data to the Bank.
  • Demonstrate strong data analytics and architecture skills including working knowledge of data infrastructure and various technology reporting platforms.
  • Drive data as a strategic asset by assisting in the building and maintaining the data architecture, to increase the availability and accuracy of data throughout the organization.
  • Work with IT to accelerate data analytics opportunities throughout the Bank for data usage and to build and fix data structure and repositories.
  • Manage the regulatory and governance reporting and communication process for data analytics.
  • Work with Business and IT to set up new data structures for reporting systems.
  • Track and research data issues that arise and work with business to fix the issues and/or build a new process/report to identify reoccurring issues.
  • Primary contact for all data related requests and future data structure design efforts.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the content and accuracy of reported information for internal, external, and regulatory purposes.
