About The Position

We are seeking a top-notch business strategy leader who can lead high-priority commercial initiatives/processes of cross-commercial nature that deliver revenue growth. This leader will be a direct report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and a member of the Commercial Senior Leadership Team. This leader will primarily deliver the following: Commercial Strategy: Take on complex commercial strategic opportunities and lead them from conceptualization through to execution — including defining the opportunity statement, working cross-functionally to deliver possible solutions, and then partnering with leaders across the organization to deliver on the prescribed strategy. Commercial Effectiveness: Deliver Commercial Process improvements that enable us to work better together as a Commercial team, including driving the agenda for our Quarterly Commercial offsites, leading the execution of our employee engagement strategies, and fine-tuning the process to manage and execute on our Business Plan Executive Storyteller: Be the leader that makes the Commercial leaders shine in front of the Board and the rest of the organization through appropriate storytelling, including storyboarding our Commercial Strategy, and our pathway to execute on it, as well as manage the Commercial Board decks. The ideal candidate can devise business strategies to solve complex commercial problems (Brand, Product, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Segments, Go-to-market, etc.), has exceptional story telling skills (especially written communication/deck story telling), and can work seamlessly alongside other members of the Commercial Senior Leadership Team. This leader will hire and lead another junior team member who will manage a lot of the tactical work entailed. What You’ll Do: Strategic Analysis & Insight Development Ability to structure ambiguous problems, work across Commercial and non-Commercial executive leaders to formulate a strategy and take it through fruition to execution through a clear, actionable execution roadmap. Build business outcomes/scenarios to evaluate strategic options and support data-driven decision-making. Identify growth opportunities within the Commercial organization, efficiency improvements, and risks across the business. Project Leadership Drive large business initiatives from concept to completion Act as project manager for CCO-sponsored initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met. Work cross-functionally within internal Commercial team (Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, Loyalty) along with external stakeholders to include Finance and Operations. Develop clear frameworks, structures, and work plans for complex commercial initiatives. Executive Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, and recommendations for the CCO and senior leadership. Support quarterly and annual commercial planning, including objective setting, KPI creation, and performance reviews Assist in translating the CCO’s vision and strategic priorities into operational plans. Operational Effectiveness Analyze current processes and commercial workflows; recommend and implement improvements. Support post-initiative tracking to ensure strategic actions deliver measurable results. Help define and monitor KPIs and dashboards related to commercial performance. Role will manage one individual performer who will assist in execution of work items.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting or commercial/business leadership role with experience with commercial strategies
  • Strategic thinking, especially in taking white space problems and formulating recommendations that meet company and commercial objectives
  • Excellent story telling skills especially through written medium
  • High level of business acumen and understanding of commercial levers (pricing, sales, marketing, customer lifecycle, etc.), along with proven record in driving value creation through commercial strategies
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ability to influence/advise in a forward-thinking capacity.
